Leading Baltic real estate developer “Linstow Baltic” and its multifunctional centre “Origo”, in cooperation with the State Police, Riga Municipal Police, and social partners, continue targeted efforts to promote a well-maintained and sustainable urban environment in the Central Station area. Another coordination meeting between the involved parties has taken place to discuss current issues and review the results of the ongoing cooperation. During the meeting, all parties acknowledged that, based on operational data, coordinated cooperation between the public and private sectors has delivered positive results and significantly improved the security situation in the neighbourhood. At the same time, all parties agreed to continue the ongoing cooperation and strengthen joint action going forward.

Since 2024, regular meetings have been organised with representatives of the municipality and law enforcement institutions to coordinate preventive measures and operational actions aimed at maintaining public order. Increased police presence, regular patrols, area inspections, and effective information exchange have significantly contributed to improving public order in the Central Station area.

The development of the “Riga Central Business District” and the upcoming “Rail Baltica” project are significantly transforming the city centre, making a safe and well-maintained environment an important prerequisite for the sustainable development of the neighbourhood and the attraction of investments.

“The existing cooperation between the public and private sectors has already proven its effectiveness by delivering tangible improvements in public order. As the area continues to develop, it is important to further improve the surrounding infrastructure and ensure coordinated public safety measures. Long-term and coordinated cooperation is essential not only for strengthening security, but also for enhancing the area’s economic potential and supporting business development. We sincerely thank the law enforcement institutions and our partners for their constructive cooperation, which we are committed to continuing,” says Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of “Linstow Baltic” and the multifunctional centre “Origo”.

During the meeting, Andrejs Aronovs, Deputy Chief of Riga Municipal Police for Operational Matters, positively assessed the existing public-private sector cooperation, emphasising that public order indicators confirm a gradual improvement in the situation within the neighbourhood. A significant contribution to strengthening security is also provided by the modern video surveillance systems installed by “Linstow Baltic”, which have been made available for use by the municipal police and allow for more efficient operational work organisation in the Central Station area. The activities of the “Resiliences Pietura” initiative within the “Origo” shopping centre were also positively recognised for providing young people with access to consultations and social support opportunities.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to the importance of continuing regular cooperation and operative information exchange in order to further support the development of a safe, modern, and attractive urban environment. “Linstow Baltic” thanks the State Police, Riga Municipal Police, social partners, and the security company “Grifs AG” for their constructive cooperation and contribution to maintaining public order and creating a safer urban environment.
