London. Tokyo. And now – Riga! The Baltics’ largest 3D digital screen unveiled
The Baltics’ largest 3D digital outdoor advertising screen has been unveiled in Riga on the façade of shopping centre “Origo”. “Origo” was selected for this large-scale project due to its strategic location, high pedestrian and traffic flows, and strong visitor numbers, with nearly 21 million visits recorded at the shopping centre each year. The project also complements the rapidly developing “Riga Central Business District” and marks a new chapter in the city’s visual and technological development.
The new 214-square-metre digital screen, featuring a rounded corner design, enables the creation of a 3D effect visible from several traffic flows simultaneously. Until now, solutions of this kind have been most commonly seen in global metropolises such as London, Tokyo and New York. With this new outdoor advertising landmark, Riga takes a step closer to the world’s leading cities, where digital solutions have become an integral part of the urban environment.
Located at one of Riga’s busiest traffic locations, the screen reaches more than 470,000 contacts per week. Each advertising spot is six seconds long, maximising reach and impact in a dynamic urban environment. The digital screen represents the most impactful communication platform of its kind in the Baltics, setting a new benchmark for digital out-of-home advertising in the region.
“This project represents an important turning point for us. It is not simply a new digital screen – it marks a transition to a new level of urban communication in the Baltics. In the world’s largest cities, digital out-of-home media is becoming an increasingly important part of the urban experience, creating moments of inspiration, surprise and emotion. With this project, Riga joins the ranks of these global cities. Our goal is to give brands a platform where creativity and technology come together in one impressive format,” says Jeļena Brokāne, Head of JCDecaux Latvia.
Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and the multifunctional centre “Origo”, notes that the new screen complements the ongoing development of the city centre and contributes to a modern, dynamic visual landscape.
“The new 3D digital screen is an important step in the development of both shopping centre “Origo” and the “Riga Central Business District”, bringing a modern digital solution, in line with international trends, to the urban environment. As the most visited shopping centre in central Riga, “Origo” provides an environment where innovative solutions can reach a broad audience and create significant added value for brand communication. Investments of this kind also create new growth opportunities for our existing tenants and strengthen the appeal of the area, helping to attract interest from potential new tenants,” says Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and the multifunctional centre “Origo”.
The screen is visible from three major traffic flows – from 13. janvāra Street, Marijas and Satekles streets, as well as from the Raiņa Boulevard side, where both screen surfaces can be viewed simultaneously, creating a particularly striking visual effect.
