Shopping Centre “Origo” Reaches Record-Breaking Footfall of Nearly 21 Million Visits in 2025
In 2025, the shopping centre Origo reached nearly 21 million visits, strengthening its position as the most visited shopping centre in central Riga and confirming stable, consistent growth. Year-on-year growth in the number of visits reflects the centre’s competitiveness and a well-curated offering that combines a wide range of shops, services, and dining options in a prime location — the “Riga Central Business District”.
Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and the multifunctional centre Origo:
“The development of the Riga Central Business District drives growing economic activity and a stable flow of people in the city centre. The opening of the SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS last year confirms the area’s dynamic growth and the increasing intensity of business activity. Each year, Origo strengthens its role as an important hub for infrastructure, shopping and services in this district. Its strategic location attracts tenants and enables the creation of a diverse, well-loved offering, resulting in Origo achieving record-high visitor figures for the third year in a row. This reinforces Origo’s position as the most visited and preferred shopping centre in central Riga, providing a wide range of everyday services, dining and shopping opportunities for office employees in the area, city residents and visitors.”
As part of its strategic development in 2025, the centre focused on expanding the food and beverage segment with the opening of the new concept “POSTe” — a vibrant new food hall that has quickly become a popular dining destination in the city centre. POSTe combines gastronomic diversity, quality, and the city’s historical heritage, creating a unique urban experience and delivering added value to the Riga Central Business District, office workers, city residents, and visitors.
Alongside its enhanced dining options, Origo diversified its retail offering in 2025 by welcoming new stores and concepts, including “LOON” and “Marabika” in the fashion and beauty segment, the luxury and niche perfume store “Brandberry”, the specialised meat store “Forevers”, the family bakery “Bazaar”, the new-generation “LIDO AS[H]AIS”, and an expanded “Euronics” store. The expansion aligns with visitor needs — according to data from market research company Kantar, 42% of Origo visitors cite the wide and diverse range of shops and services as the centre’s key advantage.
These development steps reflect broader changes in the Riga Central Business District, where growing economic activity, the arrival of new office projects and the highest sustainability standards are shaping a dynamic urban environment. Linstow Baltic’s investment in the development of this area has also received extensive professional recognition — the Class A office complex SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS won first place in two categories at the Digital Construction Excellence Award 2025 (“BIM Project” and “BIM Construction Site”), as well as internationally recognised BREEAM certification at the “Outstanding” level at the design stage. The project was also named “Project of the Year” at the BREL Forum Awards 2025, winning both the jury and public vote, while Linstow Baltic received the Riga City Municipality’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the real estate sector. These accolades confirm the project’s quality, level of innovation and significant role in the growth of central Riga. In this context, Origo continues to strengthen its position as an integral part of the daily infrastructure of the Riga Central Business District, developing its offering in line with the needs of the city centre. The centre is easily accessible by both public transport and private car, and also offers modern bicycle parking and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Parking management has been significantly modernised in cooperation with mobility service provider “Snabb”, providing digital solutions, automated access and convenient payments via a mobile app.
