“SEB Bank” opens its new central office in Latvia at “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS”
As part of the ongoing development of “Riga’s Central Business District”, “SEB Bank” has officially opened its new central office in Latvia — located in the Class A office complex “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS”. This marks a significant milestone in the area’s further growth and reaffirms the bank’s long-term commitment to supporting the development of Latvia’s business and financial sectors. The relocation of “SEB Bank” headquarters to “Riga Central Business District” also contributes to the transformation of the city centre into a sustainable and competitive business hub in the Baltics, strengthening Riga’s position as a centre of regional economic activity and innovation.
“SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” is a modern and sustainable Class A office complex developed by “Linstow Baltic” as part of its strategic vision for the transformation of “Riga’s Central Business District”. The project aims to create a modern, high-quality, and competitive business environment in the heart of the capital, combining advanced standards of quality, energy efficiency, and design.
““SEB Bank” relocation to “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” represents an important milestone not only for this project but also for the development of “Riga’s Central Business District”. Long-term cooperation with a strong and forward-looking financial institution such as “SEB Bank” significantly enhances the area’s attractiveness and competitiveness, reinforcing Riga’s status as one of the leading business centres in the Baltics. “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” stands as a prime example of sustainable architecture, demonstrating how high-quality real estate development can drive urban transformation and economic growth while fostering a modern and future-oriented business environment in the very heart of Riga,” says Frode Gronvold, Chairman of the Board of “Linstow Baltic”.
“We deliberately chose our new office location right in the heart of Riga — both for its accessibility and to promote sustainable mobility, as well as because we want to be part of the story of the city centre’s development and revitalization. We have been involved in this office complex’s development from the very beginning, which means the SEB Bank office building was designed and built in close cooperation with the developers, architects, builders, and other partners to fully meet our needs and vision. Importantly, the office was created with a strong focus on fostering collaboration among colleagues and achieving the highest sustainability standards — both for today and for future generations. We believe that the new generation will truly value the opportunity to work in a modern, comfortable office located in the very centre of the city,” says Ieva Tetere, Chief Executive Office of “SEB Bank”.
“SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” is a vital component of the “Riga Central Business District”. The Class A office complex consists of three interconnected buildings, including a historic wooden structure that has been integrated into the project while preserving its original architectural character. The complex is equipped with energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable technologies that improve both resource efficiency and tenant well-being.
“SEB Bank” serves as the anchor tenant, while an additional 1000 m² of office and commercial space remains available for other tenants, offering flexible layouts from 120 to 400 m² per floor. This enables businesses of various sizes to operate in central Riga within an environmentally friendly, technologically advanced, and employee-oriented workplace.
Thanks to its strategic location adjacent to the main multimodal public transport hub and the upcoming main Rail Baltica station in Riga, “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” provides excellent connectivity on both local and international levels. The complex is situated within the block bordered by Elizabetes, Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša, Dzirnavu, and Satekles streets, seamlessly integrating into the vibrant environment of “Riga Central Railway Station”, the “Origo One” business center, and the “Origo” shopping center.
The development of “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS” meets the highest standards of architecture, quality, and sustainability, offering a modern, user-friendly environment for both employees and visitors. Demonstrating its compliance with top-tier quality benchmarks and outstanding sustainability solutions, the project has received international recognition under the BREEAM building certification system for its design stage – achieving the only “Outstanding” rating of its kind in Latvia at the time. The same high-level certification is targeted upon the building’s completion.
The Class A office complex “SATEKLES BIZNESA CENRS”is developed by “Linstow Baltic”, one of the leading real estate developers in the Baltics. The architectural design and author supervision were carried out by the partnership “SN&L” (“Sarma & Norde Architects and Lauder Architects”).
