POSTe – new oasis of flavours and meeting place at Origo Shopping Centre
Origo Shopping Centre continues to purposefully develop and enrich its offering, strengthening its position as a diverse shopping and leisure destination. This autumn, Origo Shopping Centre will welcome a new, innovative dining concept called POSTe, which promises an inspiring combination of flavours and ideas. It will be a modern and creative meeting place that will become a popular destination for visitors to the shopping centre, employees of nearby offices, residents of Riga, and visitors to the city.
Based on an analysis of the world’s most successful food hall concepts, POSTe was created with special consideration given to the shopping centre’s location, visitor habits, and global taste trends, resulting in a completely new dining area that is significantly different from anything seen in Latvia before. POSTe will have more than just delicious food – it will offer a unique atmosphere and opportunities that cannot be found anywhere else. Guests will be able to send a stylized postcard with flavours from their chosen cuisine to any destination in Europe, turning the enjoyment of a meal into a real adventure and a story to share. Its location in Origo Shopping Centre is part of the development plans for the Riga Central Business District, thereby strengthening the city centre as a dynamic and modern place for business, shopping, and leisure.
“The development of the Riga Central Business District is driving the transformation of the entire neighbourhood and the demand for high-quality and diverse dining options, creating a modern environment for both work and leisure. Origo Shopping Centre, as an important part of this district, is constantly developing, and the opening of POSTe is a strategic step in this direction – combining a wide range of gastronomic offerings with an innovative approach to dining. We are confident that the new conceptual solution will provide added value by becoming a vibrant platform for creative ideas and diversity of flavours. At the same time, POSTe, with an area of more than 840 m², will be an attractive and easily accessible meeting place for entrepreneurs, tourists, and city residents,” says Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and Origo Multifunctional Centre.
The POSTe dining concept will offer a wide range of dishes, combining modern gastronomic trends with diverse flavours – from familiar and beloved classics to unique and surprising combinations. Six different countries will be represented by their cuisines and bars, offering Italian pizzas and snacks, traditional Latvian dishes, Georgian khinkali, Asian delicacies, as well as exquisite coffee, sweets, and drinks. The POSTe concept has been carefully designed to meet the needs of both everyday lunchers and those who want to enjoy a diverse menu and atmosphere later in the day.
“The name “POSTe” is derived from the building’s historical identity – the French inscription on the former post office, which symbolically links the past with the modern, dynamic life of the city. I am delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the creation of this modern POSTe dining concept in a strategically important location – the most visited shopping centre in central Riga. This location ensures a large daily flow of visitors, which will allow us to offer diverse gastronomic options and satisfy a wide range of tastes, while strengthening our position in the market,” says Oskars Slavinskis, co-founder and director of Kirson Design Group OÜ.
The POSTe concept has been developed in line with changing consumer trends, providing a diverse range of dining experiences and a high level of convenience. This provides tenants with the opportunity to operate in a conveniently accessible environment, which, in synergy with the extensive range of retail and services offered by Origo Shopping Centre and Origo One Business Centre, creates a sustainable and competitive business environment in the Riga Central Business District.
Origo Shopping Centre is easily accessible by public transport or by car, and it also offers modern bicycle parking and electric car charging infrastructure. In cooperation with mobility service provider Snabb, parking management has also been significantly improved, providing digital solutions, automated access and convenient payments via a mobile app. POSTe – a place where food and networking merge into an oasis of flavours in the bustling Riga Central Business District.
