Nordic Investment Bank chooses Origo One, reinforcing the Riga Central Business District as an international financial hub
The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a long-term lease agreement with the Origo One Class A office complex for 210 m² of office space. NIB’s relocation to larger premises at Origo One reflects the continued growth of the Bank’s activities across the Baltic region and further reinforces the Riga Central Business District’s position as a leading centre for business and finance in the Baltics. Its central location provides excellent access to both business infrastructure and major transport connections, making it an ideal choice for forward-looking organisations.
The new office at Origo One will provide NIB with a modern, sustainable workplace designed to the highest international standards, located in the heart of Riga, adjacent to the city’s main public transport hub and the future Rail Baltica Central Station.
“NIB’s decision to choose Origo One is a significant endorsement of the Riga Central Business District’s growing position as an internationally competitive business and financial destination. More and more international companies and financial institutions are prioritising sustainable infrastructure, premium-quality work environments and strategically located office space. The arrival of organisations such as NIB not only strengthens Origo One’s position as a Class A office complex but also contributes to the continued development of the Riga Central Business District as one of the Baltics’ leading business and financial centres,” says Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and Origo multifunctional centre.
“The opening of NIB’s Riga office in 2023 was an important milestone in bringing the Bank closer to its Baltic owners, clients and partners. As our activities and engagement across the region have continued to grow, the relocation to larger premises marks the next step in the development of our Baltic hub. The new office will support closer collaboration with stakeholders and help advance investments that contribute to a resilient, sustainable and competitive Nordic-Baltic region,” says Jukka Ahonen, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at NIB.
NIB is the international financial institution of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden. The Bank strengthens the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of the Nordic-Baltic region. By choosing Origo One, NIB joins a growing community of international companies and organisations that have established their operations in the Riga Central Business District.
